Back to the guideTHE WORK BEHIND THE WANDER

Research & photo credits.

KoKoKoffee is an editorial guide built from research checked on 11 September 2026. It covers 57 selected coffee areas, grouping adjacent neighborhoods where useful. The expanded edition adds regional browsing, individual café pages and a nearby map. It is not an exhaustive directory of Seoul.

We prioritize café and roaster websites for branch details, then use specialist coffee coverage, official tourism information, and independent reviews to understand why a place might suit a particular visitor. “Our suggested order” is an editorial recommendation, not a claim of a firsthand tasting or guaranteed current menu availability.

Older articles provide context, not live hours or prices. When listings conflict, the guide flags the detail or directs you to the current branch listing. There are no invented star ratings, visitor counts, or claims of personal visits.

The café map

Map pins come from the named branch’s public location data. The pin must match the address in the café notes; when we cannot confirm that match, the café stays in the directory without a pin. Distances are straight lines, so use Naver for the actual route across Seoul’s hills and the Han River.

90 of 90 cafés have a sourced map position. Your device location is used on the map page only and is not stored by this guide.
